This is official description
Port Locker is a complete solution to secure your private or vital data. It prevents vital and important data to be transferred from one PC to another using Flash drive, DVD/CD Writers, PCMCIA Ports, Ethernet Ports and Bluetooth port. This tool allows the user to safeguard data/ file from unauthorized access. It provides the options to lock/unlock single or multiple ports with authorized password.

Maybe you are acquainted with the peripheral devices usage of your computer; they are always exchanging data, whether they are hardware or software ports. Software ports can be protected against illegal entries with a firewall, but if you want to stop a hardware port you need to disable or unplug. Port Locker allows you to perform this function. You can obtain the reports about all the ports activity, control the ports and protect them with a password, completely block ports to prevent them from unauthorized access, and lock ports when the system is idle. You can create a schedule according to which a port is going to be blocked. Reports can be generated daily, weekly or monthly; they can also be sent via e-mail or FTP. Besides generating reports, you can be alerted when any device is connected to the locked ports. The program also generates logs about the ports and activities of Port Locker. Port Locker includes USB, IEEE 1394, Network adapters, CD/DVD ROM, Printer, and Infrared ports. It is supported by the following OS: Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003 Server, and Vista. |
